HLTA - Higher Level Teaching Assistant

We are seeking to appoint a motivated member of staff to take the pivotal role of Higher-Level Teaching Assistant for two days per week to support internal cover arrangements across Reception to Year 6, potentially through our all year-round forest schools programme. Please state your curriculum and key stage strengths, as well as experience to date. We are particularly interested in someone who has experience or passion for outdoor learning and the forest school approach.

• Commitment to the provision of high-quality support for learning within whole class teaching and through small group interventions.

• The ability to form excellent relationships with children, staff and families.
• A sense of fun, enthusiasm, initiative and drive, along with a passion for outdoor learning and forest schools.

SEN (Special Educational Needs) Support Assistant
We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated SEN Support Assistant to join our caring and hardworking staff team at Burley St Matthias. The position involves working with some of our children with more complex SEND needs, including supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis as well as supporting class teachers with group work. Experience in supporting children with special educational needs is desirable, but not essential; full support and training will be given. A daily lunchtime duty is part of the role for all our classroom support staff.
Grade: B1 scale points 4-6 £25,185 to £25,989 (FTE) £13.45 to £13.47 per hour (term time only) – one-year contract in the first instance
Hours: 33.75 hours per week term time only
