We are looking forward to welcoming you and your child to Burley St Matthias, thank you for choosing our school!
There are lots of opportunities to meet the Reception team and find out more about the school and our offer.
The first event will be our Reception New Parent Open Evening for those that have secured a place for September. This will be on Thursday 13 June at 6.00pm. We have emailed all parents, if you haven't received an invitation, please contact the office to register for the evening. You will have the chance to meet the Head teacher and other supportive staff, use our uniform exchange, see the learning environments and also try some of our lovely school meals! We will give you an admission pack for you to take away, complete and return at your home visit.
We have arranged to visit all children and families at home over the next few weeks, everyone will be receiving a letter with more information! If you haven't heard from us by the open evening, please advise the office staff.
There will be a new starter stay and play morning on the 3rd July where our new children and parents can visit during the school day.
Children will have a staggered start in September over the 3rd/4th/5th September, a specific start date on one of these dates will be shared with you by letter shortly.
DID YOU KNOW?
We have a fantastic uniform exchange, where parents can donate good condition clothing for us to share with other families. This is both cost effective and environmentally friendly! We ask for a small, voluntary donation to our school fund for uniform collected.
From September, we will be partnering with Premier to bring our families a fantastic after school wrap around care offer! Places will be available up to 6pm in the evening for children from Reception to Year 6 with a wide range of activities available! More information will follow!
There are many children eligible for pupil premium, this isn't just about free school meals, it is a grant that the school can receive of more than £1300 per child to go towards supporting our enriching educational offer - help us access as much funding as we can and complete the form in your application pack! Even if you may think you won't be eligible, please still complete the form, it takes a few minutes and will make a huge difference for our school community!
