SUPPORT FOR ADULTS
IT'S OK NOT TO BE OK
There may be a time in everyone’s life when they feel sad, depressed or suffering with low mood. At such times they might feel that they cannot cope. When people feel like this it is important that they can talk to someone and seek help.
We teach the children at Burley St Matthias that it is OK to ask for help. If we help children to grow up thinking this way, then we hope that they will be more likely to access help they may need as adults.
The staff in school are always here to help. There are a number of people in school who may be able to offer some advice and who are trained in this area. Should you feel you could talk to someone in school, please speak to Mrs Hopkinson, Miss Fletcher or Mrs Jackson. All conversations will be kept confidential, unless we feel that you, your children or your family are at immediate risk.
