School Uniform
Our School Uniform
The school believes, in line with the DfE, that a school uniform plays a valuable role in contributing to the ethos of a school and setting an appropriate tone. We strongly encourage pupils to wear our uniform which comprises:
- Grey or red jumper, preferably bearing the school logo
- White, red or grey polo, t-shirt or shirt
- Grey trousers, shorts or skirt (must be "schoolwear")
- Red checked summer dress
- Red or grey shalwar kameez
- All black shoes or trainers
- Hair should be worn tidily
For PE pupils are required to wear:
- Dark shorts and a plain white t-shirt
- Pumps
- Tracksuit and trainers may be suggested for outdoor winter games in KS2
- School jumper
For health and safety reasons, pupils are not allowed to wear:
- Jewellery, except for small stud earring and a watch
- High heeled or ‘roller’ shoes
SUPPORT WITH UNIFORM
At Burley we run a uniform exchange, for families to either donate their used uniform or take whatever they need. It saves money - and the planet! The uniform exchange is always open - pop in and ask at the office, or if you are looking for specific items, leave the details with us and we will try to put together a bag of uniform for you. If you are struggling with uniform please don't hesitate to reach out to our pastoral team, there is always something we can do to help.
