RECEPTION NEW STARTERS 2024/25 INFORMATION PAGE
wELCOME TO RECEPTION!
We have a schedule of events for our new starters for our Reception in September 2024/25.
We have invited all our new children and families to a parent welcome evening on Thursday 13 June 2024 at 6.00pm. Families will be able to find out more about our school, meet key staff, see the environment and try some of our delicious school meals!
Parents will then have a home visit appointment where the reception teacher, Mrs Glover and teaching assistant, Miss Leith will visit families and children in the home and discuss the start of their school journey with us.
Children and parents will be able to come to our reception class on Wednesday 03 July 2024 for a stay and play where they can get used to their new environment!
We will keep in touch, by phone, email and letter, if you haven't heard from us directly regarding your child's place for September please call the school office on 0113 336 7401 where the team will be happy to help you!

We have a great uniform exchange which is both cost and environment friendly as we look to recycle good condition uniform! Parents are welcome to bring unwanted uniform to the school office, and also visit us to take away uniform for your child. We ask for a small voluntary donation to the school fund in exchange.
From September, we will be extending our wrap around care, partnering with Premier to offer after school club care up to 6pm in additional to our ever popular breakfast club. Both options are available for children from Reception to Year 6.
Many children are eligible for pupil premium but don't receive it! We receive over £1300 for every eligible child into the school budget to support education for some children, please help us access as much funding as we can! Application forms will be in the new starter pack or ask at the office for more information!
